Colorado talent: Photographer Greg Friedler
The Hollywood famous go to Aspen. But Boulder attracts the stars whose clever work shines brighter than their teeth and tits.
They’re the talented people who you wouldn’t recognize if they passed you on the Sanitas trail or were seated at the table next to you at Chipotle. Folks like author Jon Krakauer and photographer Louie Psihoyos, who’s known for his work in National Geographic. 
One of those Boulderites is photographer Greg Friedler. His MFA thesis became the 1997 monograph Naked In New York. That work got him international press and more book deals. But he’s also riding the line between art and commercial photography from the Colorado town known as The People’s Republic. Check out his online portfolio.
