Jason Bullinger + Colorado Alliance of Illustrators’ 17th Annual Show

Friday is the Colorado Alliance of Illustrators’ 17th Annual Show. I thought I’d highlight the event by giving some love to Jason Bullinger, a CAI member (who doesn’t have anything in this year’s event).

Colorado Alliance of Illustrators’ 17th Annual Show
FRIDAY, MAY 18TH 2007, 7:00 p.m. Opening Reception.
The Phillip J. Steele Gallery at The Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design
1600 Pierce Street, Lakewood, Colorado (Map).

Jason's nine-to-five is designing courtroom graphics for one of Colorado's largest law firms. "The design/illustration work I do full time is nothing like what I do as my freelance work," he told me. "The content and style are so different."

Even with a job, wife and new baby, Bullinger keeps his freelance practice bustling, in part with inspiration from other illustrators.

“At the moment I like Jonathan Viner, Andrew Hem, Tara McPherson, and James Jean," he said.
