Photographer Tyler Stableford

The cover of this year's Photography Annual from Communication Arts features an image by Carbondale, Colorado photographer Tyler Stableford.

About the CA cover: "This is a shot of climber Mark Jenkins exploring a rare cave inside Iceland's Langjokull Glacier. The photo is now with my stock agency Getty Images."

The other images shared here, from a marble quarry in Colorado, were shot for Aspen Sojourner -- and got the pub nominated for a 2007 Maggie award for 'Best Series of Editorial Phogoraphs.' They also won 'Best Series' and 'Picture of the Year' from Applied Arts, Canada's design journal.

Stableford shoots a lot of outdoor sports, climbing and adventure images. Last year he was named one of seven "World's Greatest Adventure Photographers" by Men's Journal.

Getting on the cover of CA is a huge deal -- my congrats to Mr. Stableford.
