'Minimalist sculpture' made of abandoned phone books left at Qwest headquarters
On May 19, prankster activists repurposed 576 phone books to create a 'minimalist sculpture' in front of the Qwest corporate headquarters at 1801 California Street. The unwanted phone books were collected from the large piles left in the lobbies of apartment buildings and offices.
Even though a member of my family once made her living selling ads for Dex, unwanted phone books are a massive waste of resources that I think should be legislated against.
