Ad Age: How to Attract Big-City Talent to Small Towns
... after languishing for decades in relative obscurity, it was great PR -- perhaps as much as great advertising -- that catapulted [Crispin Porter + Bogusky] to rock-star status and put Miami on the advertising map.

In my opinion, Joe announces nothing more than obvious first steps to getting that "talent." Early in the article he references using creativity, because it is your greatest asset... etc.. To me the few things he brings up are less than realistic solutions to a problem not in need of solving.
A few ways to lend credibility to his advice would have been more credible if he would have said one important thing, pay people well.
I think it's funny that people haven't caught on to honesty. Everyone wants to sell people shit. If someone came to me and said, you are really talented, I want to work with you. My agency isn't in a perfect place, but look what else can be offered.. OR write a competitive and dynamic contract to keep people interested in growth and future opportunities with the co.
I dont know.. Im tired and that article was weak. Monster is the last place anyone should look for talent. AND anywhere can be great if your employer offers competitive benefits.
